American and Chinese Elites Both Achieved Their Goals

Chinese and American flags

The period around 1980 was pivotal to the fate of nations. In the West Thatcher and Reagan came to power and finished the destruction of the post-world War II order, setting the West on a new path. This process had been ongoing since 1968, but the form of the new consensus was not clear until Reagan’s victory: financialization, crushing workers, destroying the middle class, asset bubbles and so on.

In 1978 Deng came to power in China and instituted reforms, especially market ones. This coincided with the West, and especially America, wanting to offshore and outsource their industry. This increased profits and impoverished the working and middle class. It financialized the economy: you could have the profits without the production and without dealing with uppity and powerful workers.

Reagan went after unions hard, Thatcher broke the miner’s union, the most powerful in Britain. The Federal Reserve started a long term policy of raising interest rates every time wages rose faster than inflation, meaning that over a period of decades wages rose less than inflation, and thus were reduced in real terms. The BLS moved towards understating inflation systematically, to undercut things like pensions with cost of live adjustments and to help “boil the frog”. Every change in how inflation was measured, for decades, which I am aware of, reduced the measured inflation rate. That doesn’t happen randomly or if your goal is the accurate measure of inflation.

Deng lucked into a geopolitical moment, and knew exactly how to take advantage of it. “Tired of dealing with uppity workers? Hate environmental regulations? Want more profits without the work of production? Move your production to China and we’ll make you rich!”

Deng exactly spotted the West’s weakness and knew how to take advantage of it. He also delivered: offshoring and outsourcing did make the West’s elites, and especially US and British elites filthy rich.

In exchange China got the industry and with the industry came the know-how and the technology. The technological lead always (always) moves to the country with the factory floor, and so it did in this case. It took quite a while for this to become obvious, so people could fool themselves, but the movement was inexorable. The same thing had happened when the industrial base moved from Britain to America (with tons of British financing). It took about 30 years for the tech lead to follow the industrial base. In this case it seems to have been about 20 years from China taking the industrial lead to tech supremacy, but the movement was the same.

American elites, wanting to be rich without real work and to destroy their internal enemies, those pesky workers who wanted a cut, got what they wanted. In exchange they destroyed their empire, because the real basis of the American empire was industry and technology.

The Chinese got what they wanted: China became the world’s leading industrial and technological power and a billion people were lifted out poverty.

The Gods often grant want we desire, if we’re willing to work for it. American elites got their wish. So did the Chinese.

Welcome to the Chinese century.

“In exchange they destroyed their empire”

Yeah, but they didn’t care and they don’t care. Those elites who started the process and shepherded it along didn’t care because are either already dead or will be before the crumbling of the empire really affects them, and those who plan to outlive the empire don’t care because they believe they can carve out their own exemptions to the chaos (witness the “network state” foolishness). As far as they’re concerned it was a good trade. We can only pray that their chickens come home to roost, but since this is not at all a just world (fuck every liberal who brainlessly quotes King’s wishful thinking) I have no real hopes in that regard.

In a newly released 2009 email sent to cognitive scientist Roger Schank, Jeffrey Epstein wrote:

i carry no water for worthless reaganites. but here are those that provided the real grease.

    https://arktimes.com/arkansas-blog/2016/11/28/the-roots-and-legacy-of-bill-clintons-abandonment-of-organized-labor

” There is no better example of this triangulation than the Labor Reform Bill of 1978. As anti-union enterprises found new ways to circumvent the National Labor Relations Board procedures—dragging out certification processes, illegally firing union activists and taking years to litigate challenges to these dismissals, and purposely violating laws knowing that the minimal fines would be a small price to pay to keep unions at bay—unions sought relief in the form of a new law to eliminate these practices. But Bill Clinton, Pryor, and Bumpers worked enthusiastically against the bill. Pryor made opposition the cornerstone of his 1978 senate bid. Bill Clinton, with the help of political consultant Dick Morris, wrote a series of ads for Pryor’s campaign warning that unions were “disastrous for the economy of Arkansas.” Bumpers joined the Senate filibuster that killed the bill. ”

the massive trail of world wide carnage, deaths, impoverishment, slavery, wars and other pestilence that have followed the clintons around, cannot be understated.

reagan was a amateur compared to the clintons.

if i was in the chinese Politburo, i would keep a picture of bill clinton next to my bed, so that in the morning i would wake up and see the picture, and start the day off with a great big belly laugh.

    KT Chong,

Is there a verifiable link to that Epstein quote?

What per cent of The Jews think that way? Has anyone done any studies?

Anyway, life got pretty real-world for Jeffrey Epstein in the end.

    Substitute Chinese, please.
    Substitute my truth for lies
And could I have a side of fried rice with my fries?
It’s the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine.

I am not much of a computer whiz, so I don’t know if there is something else, or ‘next steps’, that I should as a matter of course be doing. But, as I have herein just-above mentioned, when I literally clicked the link, the just-above quoted material is literally what the link literally took me to.

I still wonder what percent of jews have been discovered to think the way Epstein revealed himself to think in that statement, if it really exists. Another thought just occurred to me. Epstein himself was so depraved and twisted that his thoughts were probably twisted as well. One wonders if that thought was unique to The Jeffster his own self, and he was merely projecting it onto ‘jews’. Of course, he’s dead now, so he can’t tell us.

    Random thought:

February 17 will be the so-called “Chinese” or “Lunar” New Year.

But the East Asian calendar is lunisolar, not purely lunar. So calling it “Lunar New Year” is technically incorrect. If anything, a true “Lunar New Year” would apply to the Islamic calendar, which is strictly based on lunar cycles.

It also shouldn’t really be called “Chinese New Year,” because some other East Asian cultures — Koreans, Mongolian, and Vietnamese — share the same calendar and New Year. And given the history and politics of the region, many of them neither get along with China nor appreciate having their traditions labeled as “Chinese.”

A more accurate name would be “Lunisolar New Year,” or, even better, “Celestial New Year.”

Notes: Modern Japan does not celebrate New Year on the same day anymore. During the Meiji Restoration around the mid-to-late 1800s, Japan officially adopted the Gregorian calendar to modernize and align with the West.

    different clue,

There is a space between DataSet and 9:

    “https://www.justice.gov/epstein/files/DataSet 9/EFTA00885615.pdf”

Which is unusual for a URL.

    Try this:

    https://www.justice.gov/epstein/files/DataSet%209/EFTA00885615.pdf

“%20” is the code for a space.

Speaking of the Epstein stuff– Chris Hedges interviews the man who did the original Epstein files drops a decade or more ago, Nick Bryant. Lots of people compromised it was well known, much more is flooding (not dripping out) now. Bryant wrote an earlier expose book, “The Franklin Scandal,” about a predecessor to the Lex Wexner, Barr Sr. and Epstein operation. He also shares that the FBI and others knew that Dennis Hastert had long pedophile/ pederast relationships with teenage boys as their wrestling coach, eventually exposed and given his power was released after serving only 13 months of a pathetically small 15 month sentence. (Though to be fair, he’d been blackmailed by his victims for years, financial punishment.)

These people are all “compromised”. His take on Trump was that yes he had things going on with teen and even preteen girls, but was pretty prudish in some respects (germophobe) and “liked to watch” and get a hand job much of the time . . . Bryant says the UK, US and Zionist State are the 3 biggest Sex-trafficking/ Compromat practitioners. He notes in passing that Russia’s not a player here. Oh, and some have pointed out Fidel Castro is one of the very few foreign/ “opposition” leaders compromised by the Epstein network.

Link to the Hedges piece is here, well worth your time if you are interested– https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GK114NGCM8

It’s easy to blame others, but one should have spotted what was going on around 1970.

It was then, according to Alfred Chandler, the rentiers took over the industry and started to dismantle it. RCA was one of the first victims as early as early 70s (Scale ande Scope, and Inventing the Electronic Century). It was really strange that nobody could see what was happening when it happened.

Because it was not the first time in world history. Ian refers to the British decline, but the same thing happened in Holland around 1700, and in Italy in the 15th century. And in Iraq in the 9th, according to Bas van Bavel. A thriving industrial system falls victim to rentiers as a matter of course; that’s the weakness of capitalism.

Rentiers have had too much to say at different periods in the last few centuries, too. In late 18th – but the people reacted and made a revolution against starvation in France. In the roaring forties, i.e. 1840s, which also led to revolutions. And in the late 19th century when economists of all political hues warned that “financial capitalism” could lead to trouble. A warning labour movements took to their hearts.

Why not the last time? Complacency?

Turning Japanese is about pleasuring oneself.

Turning Chinese is about pleasuring techno optimists, so it seems.

Yes, I lived and worked through this whole thing. Tech workers were affected also. Now the US can’t manufacture its way out of a paper bag. The ignorance of greedy capitalists.

The Epstein Barr virus is said to be a cause of MS among other things. Just saying.
