My internet range is limited with a few bookmarked sites like Informed Comment for example along with NC and a few others with this site being my main hangout, not that it matters to anyone paying attention, and most no one is.
So an erudite few post their views and insights while some follow along.
I’m chopping parsley, cilantro and garlic at the moment trying to make a pesto while holding on to whatever I think is true. And what do I know?
Just this: nothing is solid fixed or real, so don’t reífy your experience even if your car breaks down in the middle of the road.
Dead skunk in the middle of the road.
What’s that in the road? A head?

Caitline Johnstone on the MICIMATT propaganda about widespread “Anti-Semitism”. No less than Zohran Mamdami recently bent the knee to the Anti-Semitic Conspiracy with a Woke programming of Zionist Museums, churches, and mandatory school state promotion of that religion to the Goyim children in New York City. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Un9R-M1evlI
The latter shared by the 2 Jews, Dobular and Weiss, among others, on Due Dissidence. Johnstone doesn’t go there, just points out most Normies don’t spend much brain space thinking about the importance of “Jews”, in the US not a large group, say 11-12% or less . . . But people worldwide hate Israel. And we all know why.
4 days away from the 3rd anniversary of a live-streamed Genocide. But Big Brother tells you you must love Zionist Supremacy and follow it, like good people like Trump, Ted Cruz, Huckaby, Ben Shapiro, etc.
as predicted by me years ago. in a deflating economy, assets that you think are safe, actually may not be safe, and many assets will actually deflate.
silver and gold are not immune. when you need scarce cash, assets that turn out to be way over valued, flood the market to raise scarce cash to pay their bills. and those assets fall in value drastically.
when i posted that on N.C., i got some real cold responses. i must have rained on someone’s parade.
Who here remembers Uri Geller? Several decades ago, Uri Geller was a bordeline-famous ” spoon-bender” who claimed and claimed to show that he could bend metal spoons and other things with the power of his mind.
So Johnny Carson invited Geller onto the Tonight Show to bend some spoons and stuff. Carson had worked with The Amazing Randi ahead of that show to learn how to frustrate and abort the various magic tricks which Geller used and would use. Carson did what no journalist or reporter ever bothered to do about the spoonbending claims.
Uri Geller the spoon bender. Johnny Carson and the late night show. Sure. All down the memory hole along with Tiny Tim and his ukelele along with John Belushi of Saturday Night cocaine fame and that Russian chess champion whose name eludes me. Shit man, I remember but a fraction of what I once knew and it’s still a lot, enough anyway. In the culinary world same thing. I’ve forgotten more than many will ever know. And that’s just truth; there’s no bragging about it. Nobody cares and there’s no reason to. Although I once wished to pass the body of knowledge acquired over a lifetime to a younger generation, it doesn’t matter anymore. Life goes on even as we fade away.
Ciao baby.
There were many Russian chess champions over time. The only name I can remember is Kasparov, and that may be wrong.
As to food-handling knowledge not mattering, the various Indigenous Nations made sure to keep knowledge passing down to the younger generations and over the millenia they built up an ever-growing body of cultural life-living knowledge.
If any one person’s personal knowledge . . . food knowledge , let us say . . . is not passed down to a worthy apprentice, future younger people may be able to recreate for themselves some of that knowledge and then again they may not. If no worthy apprentice or cadre of younger learners can be found, then the knowledge will of course die.
But one wonders if the knowledge-info which can be passed down through and over to the other side of our current Digital Dark Ages will be the most valuable of all, and durable too; having passed through Darwin’s Digital Filter.
Great mago comment adding to diff clue’s nostalgia comment. The Wayback machine only works so far back, then the data is irrelevant. The Smothers Brothers remain relevant though!!

Mackinder’s dream dies after a couple of Centuries, the “World Island” not crushed and assimilated so easily. I guess Spengler’s Decline of the West was prescient, certainly better than Fukuyama’s absurd Fuckery.

Speaking of ” down the memory hole”, here is an old memory from way down in the hole.
For a couple of years or so in the late 1960s, there was a TV SitCom called ” My Mother The Car”. The premise of the show was that some ordinary suburban guy’s dearly departed mother had re-incarnated and come back as a Ford Model A car . . . as I remember. And they talked to eachother through the car radio. What a strange premise, now that I think about it. But I thought nothing of it at the time.
Maybe it was Kasparov. There were indeed a number of masters, but the dude I’m thinking of turned into a raving right wing reactionary long after the 80’s were gone.
I fully believe in leaving a culinary lineage holder behind, and thinking of it, I have in some ways. A friend from the early days recently reminded me that I taught him knife handling skills and cooking techniques—information that he passed on to his daughter who works for a “green “ caterer. Then there’s my former sous chef and student, now in his 40’s who’s retained a large body of knowledge and skill. There a couple of others who I schooled in their teenage years.
So not all is lost.
Cheers

I’ll pass. The coverage by Due Dissidence of Mamdami’s Zio-shilling is at about 1:32 minutes in, here– https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Un9R-M1evlI
They say they never had any faith in ZM, but thought him an obvious better choice (viz economics) than Andrew Cuomo or the other freaks.

Uri Geller got popular in the 1970s by claiming to have supernatural powers. Johnny Carson invited Geller on his show and worked with James Randi to set up conditions where he couldn’t use any trickery to fake his “powers.” [Reposted to comply with sub rules]

Its going to be hard to get the general New York City public to dislike Mamdani.
