Abundance takes up residence in California. Newsom hitched his wagon to the new small talk making the rounds in Corporate Dem circles. The latest: his signing Senate Bill 79, the Abundant & Affordable Homes Near Transit Act with the promise of of Reining in “burdensome government processes” like environmental and tenant safety regulations—thus securing “abundance for all.”
Without complementary measures — such as social housing provision, anti-speculation policies, and protections for existing residents — the simple expansion of supply is unlikely to achieve equitable affordability outcomes. The universalist assumption of simply “build more” is inherently flawed, incapable of addressing a problem deeply entrenched in centuries of structural inequality and systemic discrimination.

In a systemic review on Tylenol use during infancy(1):
“studies using laboratory rodents” Found that even short term use of Tylenol in infancy caused long term “cognitive deficits” “altered locomotive behavior” “failure to acquire spatial learning” and “decreased neuronal number”
Two studies showed “permanent neurodevelopmental injury” in labortory aniamls who received Tylenol “similar to doses administered to infants and children.”
Human studies found “a greater than 20-fold risk of regressive autism with paracetamol use during childhood”
Likewise, the “greater incidence of infantile autism in circumcised boys compared to non-circumcised boys [23] can be readily explained by potentially negative impacts of paracetamol exposure”
The 4th link in the review is of another review which finds and states that autism is “invariably linked with either inflammation or oxidative stress” and that since Tylenol increases oxidative stress and inflammation this means Tylenol meets another Bradford Hill criteria for causation.
The review then looked at all the present scientific publications claiming that Tylenol is safe in young children. These articles would make claims but provide “no citation”. “none of the studies provided any assessment of neuropsychiatric function” even among all studies regarding any safety “the median follow-up time of all 52 studies was 48 h” and therefore these stuides are worthless in evaluating saftey.
A few intersting tidbits:
“In one notable case, a popular citation did not did appear in the literature”
In a 2017 publication claiming Tylenol has a “favorable safety profile” the publication used 10 studeis only 1 of those even looked at saftey and it showed “significantly worse” results “in terms of risk for outpatient visits”
A Johnson & Johnson (a Tylenol manufacture) email chain from 2008(2) discusses the assoication between Tylenol and neurological harms(2):
“I’m reading through and finding several studies that also looked at ibuprofen and found no association.”
“there appears to be some specificity of the association.”
“at least one study looked separately at specific indications and the association didn’t go away.”
“We should continue by phone if there’s more to discuss.”
“The weight of evidence is starting to feel heavy to me.”
“there are a bunch of papers”
In a “privileged and confidential” internal document Johnson & Johnson’s summarizes the science they’ve gathered as “consistent association of increased occurrence of neurodevelopmental outcomes” (page 14) (3).

Sometimes when I write a big beautiful comment it gets zapped out into the black void ether too.
So I sometimes just write a stick-figure schematic diagram of what that comment was and send that. And if it is accepted and printed, then at least the stick-figure diagram gets through.
Carbon dioxide sky-levels increase. ” What’s up with that?”
Well, carbon skydumping continues to outrun any skycarbon re-suckdown which geo and bio systems attempt to perform.
Reducing the rate of carbon skydumping to being no more than the rate of skycarbon suckdown would stabilize the carbon skyload where it is at unless the world’s permafrost, existing forests, etc. all get heated up into carbon skybelching mode. If that happens, adding to the strictly man-made carbon skydumping, skycarbon suckdown will not be remotely able to even approach matching it.

Good strategy different clue. I’ll incorporate it. Thanks. Hope you’re doing well in these dizzy times.
different clue
@mago,
I feel like I’m doing “well”. But maybe I’m just too dumm to realize how not-well I’m really doing.
In a little while I may write another little garden report.
