Either Jeffrey Adam Zucker, who recruited Donald Trump for the reality show The Apprentice and then made him POTUS by giving Trump 24/7 free coverage during his presidential run, is lying or this guy is. I’m going with Zucker lying because CNN, as much as any cable news network or any media venue period, is claiming COVID-19 is what it isn’t and stating those claims as facts without proper investigative reporting to determine the verity of the false claims related to this pandemic and to this virus specifically.
Something smells to high heaven about all of this. Viruses are smart, but not this smart. Unless. It’s an understatement to call this the “NOVEL” corona virus. Novel means, quite literally, different from anything seen or known before. So different in fact, perhaps it’s not natural.
Ventilators may in fact be killing people rather than saving them. Perhaps that’s why the Trump admin won’t distribute them. Trump’s handlers know they won’t be of any use. Because they know what COVID-19 really is. I wouldn’t be surprised. When you empower psychopaths for decades upon decades, this is ultimately what you get and then your only choice is to suffer their psychotic abuse or burn the village to save the village.

That doctor may be on to something – the ventilator settings are too high and the extra pressure is causing lung damage. Supposing Trump knows or cares would be taking tRump Sniffing to a new level.
New disease — new problems with treatment. Hopefully this will quickly be ironed out. I’d say setting the pressure levels slightly low would be a no-brainer.

Italy used to have a fine medical system, but the politicians in that nation have been busily destroying it so as to maximize private profits. You know, like they do here in the US of A.
Biden has no redeeming virtues I’m aware of – except possibly that of not being named “Trump”. That’s not enough for me. Trading down – or making an even swap of crappy White House Residents is of no interest to me.

I agree and should have qualified my comment. There’s a cabal that finds him useful as an idiot foil. He provides the distracting spectacle as they do what they do out of sight, so to speak. Pompeo is part of this cabal. That guy is the devil himself.

Yikes, major blunder. 20 mg/ kg * 75 kg = 1,500 mg chloroquine, not 150 mg.
The high dosage ‘arm’ of the study gave 1200 mg chloroquine / day. Answers.com gives the average weight of a 5-8 Brazilian woman as 62.2 – 66.7kgs. Call it 64 kg. The toxic dose for this weight is 12,800 mg. So, the Brazilian researchers were bumping up closely to this value, at least on a daily dosage basis.

Double yikes. Toxic dose of chloroquine for 64 kg person is 1280 mg (not 12,800 mg), which is close to the high dosage arm of 1200 mg/day.
It’s been suggested that, since some of the funding came from left-wing Brazilian senators, that the ‘study’ was designed to fail for political purposes. See Michael Coudrey’s twitter feed for some detail, though I see no evidence that the Brazilian senator co-funders were, in fact, left-wingers.
