If that “deaths per day” curve continues to be flat, or even starts upwards, I suspect it’s because of the “opening up” of the rural areas of the nation. Most Americans have had only basic educations, and most of them were students decades ago. The behaviors I see around here suggest that whatever much of what they “learned” has been forgotten … or replaced by Faith In God stuff.

Indiana reports 513 new COVID-19 cases bringing total to 30,901 (Updated: May 23, 2020 / 12:19 PM EDT)

Based on the latest AP data collected by the Johns Hopkins University COVID-19 tracking project, Marion County is on a downward trend, with newly reported cases being back to before the first peak in early April.

In the other parts of Indiana, rates are going up. “All Politics Is Local” (Thomas Phillip “Tip” O’Neill), and likewise I tend to concentrate on the Covid 19 cases near ME! Rural Hoosier ignorance is played upon by cynical politicians who want to “Open Up”. When Indiana churches start reopening, the “cases” and “deaths” are likely to massively increase. The national politicians who hyperventilate about allowing booze stores to open while keeping churches closed are either dumb or dishonest. Well, maybe both.
