How to Fix Posts and Comments Not Showing

2017 February 16
by Ian Welsh

Ok, after some hours of fun, fun, fun, posts should now show as soon as they are published and so should comments.

If they are NOT, please press ctrl-F5 (or command-F5 on Mac) and that should resolve it. For Chromebook, use Ctrl-Shift-r.

Comments were turned off; they are now turned on. If you have any problems, please let me know (comment below, or admin-at-ianwelsh-dot-net).

Re your note at top. When I checked for comments on your most recent post my “leave a reply” had another posters name and email. Not a good thing

For chromebook users, a hard refresh is accomplished with Ctrl-Shift-r.

If it becomes THAT much of a hassle just to post or comment I’ll simply return to the more passive mode of “just browsing”.
One can always get onto the internet and just read whatever’s already on there.

testing testing – why have we got such a innocuous phrase? Is something of the era?

No one’s required to do anything. 🙂 However, some of my commenters are pretty hardcore.

That said, as best I can tell the problems are now fixed. Hopefully they will stay that way.

    wait. what?

When I was learning basic electricity and electronics, an instructor dutifully pointed out that FM stood for “fucking magic”

In the case of the innerwebs, that goes double for the black magic. Caveat emptor!
