    Amen. I think i’ll spin “Live at San Quentin” tonight.

    Since we’re speaking through music, the link below is to a modern, acoustic punk version of my favorite I.W.W. song (and one of my all time favorite songs). According to Utah Phillips, the band that originally played the song would hide in a doorway — Spokane, WA — while a shill dressed up like a banker would walk past. The shill would start to shout, “Help! Help! I’ve been robbed.” When the crowd would gather around him he would continue, “Help, I’ve been robbed by the capitalist system.” The band would jump out and play The Preacher and the Slave”.
